Baby Boomers have Found Costa Rica's Low Cost of Living Attractive [VIDEO]

October 1st, 2008
[VIDEO] Baby Boomers have found out that our purchasing power is much greater than in the United States or Canada. With its great year-round tropical weather and beautiful beaches, Costa Rica is a highly desirable for enjoying our retirement.

Baby Boomers are finding our that Costa Rica has one of the highest standards of living in Latin America with a purchasing power that is much greater than in the United States or Canada. The country is truly a bargain compared to most places in the world.

Baby Boomers living In Costa Rica will enjoy a higher standard of living and get more for our money than they will in the United States, Canada and Europe. A couple can live well on $1200 a month, and live in luxury for $2000. Remember, two in Costa Rica, can often live as cheaply as one.

Housing in middle-class Costa Rican neighborhoods is substantially less than what it does in the United States. Hired help is a bargain with a full-time maid costing only a couple of hundred dollars per month. Utilities-telephone service, electricity, and water- cost about 30% of what they do in the U.S.

You never need to heat your home because of Costa Rica's warm climate. You need not cook with gas, since most stoves are electric. Food, continuing education, entertainment (movies cost a little over $3.00) and, above all, health care, are surprisingly affordable. Both new and second-hand furniture are priced very low too.

Bottom Line: Baby Boomers have found that Costa Rica's high standard of living offers a lower cost of living. Costa RIca has a foreigner friendly government, a lack of political strife and serious violent crime, a low cost of quality medical care and prescription drugs, a very stable real estate market along with the friendly Costa Rican people. Costa Rica's great year-around tropical weather with its beautiful beaches and countryside to be a highly desirable formula for enjoying our retirement.
