Economic prosperity characterized the 18 year span directly following World War II.



The Baby Boomer Bomb Detonated in 1946 - as the 16 million Americans that served in World War II returned home,.leading to the biggest population boom in US history. Just as powerful as any atomic bomb, its effects have radiated through society for literally decades and will most certainly continue to do so for many years to come.

78 Million Baby Boomers were born between the years of 1946 and 1964  in the United States alone. The boom lasted until the introduction of the birth control pill in 1964. 

Baby Boomers social, cultural and economic impact on the United States has been unprecedented in its history.

The Baby Generation:

• Has more discretionary income (wealth) than any other age group
• Controls 70% of the total net worth of American households - $7 trillion of wealth
• Owns 80% of all money in savings and loan associations
• Spends more money disproportionately to their numbers
• Is not fanatically loyal to brands
• Watchs television more than any other age group
• Reads newspapers more than any other age group
• Accounts for a dramatic 40% of total consumer demand
