Zumba Fitness on The Today Show
My name is Heather Diodati, I'm 56 and the peppiest I've ever been in my life!
I have been a Zumba Fitness Instructor in a small town in Canada for a little over a year now and am among the 160+ Baby Boomer Zumba Fitness Instructors out of over 15,000 Zumba Fitness instructors worldwide.
Recently I is was honored to have been chosen to represent Canada and Quebec to participate in the Zumba Fitness 2nd Annual Instructor Convention Saturday, September 4th, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.
As it turned out, I was the only Canadian among a group of 30 Baby Boomers Zumba instructors to dance the Flamenco on stage at the Zumbathon in front of over 2,300 other Zumba instructors from all over the world. And not only that, we were dancing on stage with the creator of the Zumba Fitness program, Beto Perez.
I have found that dancing and fitness, particularly Zumba Fitness, has kept me young, and I'm not the only over-50 fitness instructor who has also admitted to this!
Heather Diodati has been a Zumba Fitness instructor for a little over a year in Canada. Zumba Fitness is one of the largest fitness programs in the world today, with over 16,000 certified instructors and more than five million people taking weekly classes in over 40,000 locations all over the world.
